Parungpanjang, 22 Agustus 2023 - Salah satu ekstrakurikuler kebanggan MAN 5 Bogor, kembali menorehkan kegigihannya untuk mencapai tapakan garuda. Tapakan Pramuka Garuda tahap 2 kwartir cabang kabpaten Bogor ini diikuti oleh sembilan orang anggota terpilih yaitu 4 orang dari ambalan Cut Meutia dan 5 orang dari ambalan Syarif Hidayatullah.
Ke sembilan anggota pramuka garuda MAN 5 Bogor juga turut memeriahkan upacara HUT Pramuka ke-67 yang bertempat di lapangan Tegar Beriman kantor pemerintahan daerah Bogor. Penyematan lencana Pramuka Garuda dilakukan langsung oleh Plt. Bupati Bogor, Iwan Setiawan yang bertindak sebagai pembina upacara tersebut. Ke sembilan orang siswa terlatih tersebubut adalah; (1) Khoirul Ahmad Syarifuddin kela XII IPA 1, M. Nabil Khoirul Anam kelas XII IPA 2, Dzalfa Fatimah kelas XII IPA 3, Rohimatul Aliah kelas XII IPA 4, Akbar Aryo Priambudi kelas XII IPS 1, Rafi Aurel Febiansyah kelas XII IPS 2, M. Valendika Pratama kelas XII IPS 2, Diva Febriani kelas XII IPS 3, dan Fitri Sulyani kelas XII Bahasa.

Sementara itu, dalam pesannya yang disampaikan kepada para anggota Pramuka Garududa MAN 5 Bogor, pendamping dari Kwartir Ranting Parungpanjang yang juga meupakan Waka bina muda, Syarif Hidayatullah, mengatakan " teruskan masa praja mu ,karena waktu muda mu adalah hal terindah bagi para pandu di dunia"' pungkas Syarif dengan penuh semangat.
