Parungpanjang, 4 Mei 2023. Kamis ini bertepatan dengan hari ke-empat di bulan Mei. Tahukah anda bahwa ada hal yang harus kita ingat bersama melalui momen tanggal yang satu ini. Tanggal 4 Mei selain diperingati sebagai hari pemadam kebakaran sedunia, juga diperingati sebagai Hari Anti Bullying Sedunia.
Bullying atau perundungan masih menjadi contoh kasus yang menyeramkan dan banyak terjadi di berbagai lingkungan, baik di lingkungan pergaulan terdekat di keluarga, di tempat kerja, dan masih terdapat juga beberapa kasus bullying di beberapa lembaga pendidikan formal maupun informal.
Baca Lainnya : Oleh karena itu tiap tanggal 4 Mei ditetapkan sebagai Hari Anti Bullying. Hari Anti Bullying pertama kali dicetuskan oleh David Shepherd dan Travis Price di Nova Scotia yang merupakan warga Kanada. Mereka membeli dan membagikan 50 kaus merah muda untuk dipakai.
Aksinya ini sebagai bentuk dukungan mereka kepada Jadrien Cota, seorang siswa laki-laki yang dibully dengan kejam pada hari pertama sekolah karena mengenakan kemeja merah muda.
Perundungan tidak hanya terjadi di luar negeri namun juga di Indonesia. Bahkan banyak kasus yang membuat korban bullying menjadi depresi, tertindas bahkan bunuh diri.
Oleh sebab itu dengan adanya peringatan hari anti bullying ini diharapkan bisa mengurangi tindakan perundungan dan memberi kesadaran pentingnya saling peduli satu sama lain.
Di MAN 5 Bogor yang saat ini dikepalai oleh Ema Rachmawati menegaskan kembali bahwa seluruh civitas termasuk pimpinan, guru, tendik dan seluruh peserta didik menentang keras segala hal terkait sikap atau tindakan yang mengarah pada bullying. Di era modern saat ini peserta didik terus menerus ditempa secara moril melalui berbagai pembinaan oleh wali kelas maupun guru di kelas bahwa pergaulan yang sehat yang sesuai dengan norma agama dan Pancasila adalah dengan saling menghargai segala perbedaan yang ada, menganggap setara sesama manusia dengan latar belakang yang berbeda-beda serta menjunjung tinggi harkat dan derajat setiap manusia yang ada di lingkungan madrasah maupun di luar lingkungan madrasah.
