MAN 5 Bogor, 12 Februari 2025– Dalam upaya meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Mutasi Kromosom, Enung Yusi Suswanti Kusumah, S.Si, M.M, guru Biologi kelas XII IPA MAN 5 Bogor, mengembangkan inovasi pembelajaran berbasis Edutainment. Pendekatan ini menggabungkan pendidikan dan hiburan untuk membuat proses belajar lebih menarik dan interaktif.
Menurut Enung Yusi, materi Mutasi Kromosom sering dianggap sulit dan membosankan karena melibatkan konsep genetika yang kompleks. Oleh karena itu, ia merancang metode pembelajaran yang menyenangkan namun tetap edukatif dengan memanfaatkan permainan, video animasi, dan simulasi eksperimen sederhana.
Langkah-langkah Inovasi Pembelajaran Mutasi Kromosom dengan Edutainment

Guru membuka pelajaran dengan video animasi proses mutasi kromosom agar siswa memahami konsep dasar secara visual.
Tanya jawab ringan untuk menggali pemahaman awal siswa.
2. Permainan Edukatif (Biology Card Game)
Siswa dibagi menjadi kelompok dan diberikan kartu berisi berbagai jenis mutasi kromosom (delesi, duplikasi, inversi, translokasi).
Setiap kelompok harus menganalisis dan mencocokkan contoh mutasi dengan dampaknya pada makhluk hidup.
Tim dengan jawaban paling tepat dan cepat mendapat poin.
3. Simulasi Mutasi dengan Origami DNA
Siswa membuat model DNA sederhana dari kertas origami.
Guru memandu siswa dalam mensimulasikan perubahan pada DNA akibat mutasi kromosom.
Siswa mendiskusikan bagaimana mutasi tersebut mempengaruhi ekspresi gen.
4. Studi Kasus & Drama Ilmiah
Siswa diberikan studi kasus nyata tentang penyakit genetik akibat mutasi kromosom, seperti sindrom Down atau sindrom Turner.
Setiap kelompok mempresentasikan hasil analisisnya dalam bentuk drama singkat tentang bagaimana mutasi terjadi dan dampaknya.
5. Kuis Interaktif dengan Kahoot!
Di akhir pembelajaran, guru mengadakan kuis interaktif menggunakan Kahoot! untuk mengevaluasi pemahaman siswa dengan cara yang menyenangkan.
Pemenang mendapatkan apresiasi untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar.
Melalui metode ini, siswa lebih antusias dalam belajar Biologi dan mampu memahami konsep mutasi kromosom dengan lebih baik. Ke depan, Enung Yusi berencana mengembangkan lebih banyak inovasi berbasis Edutainment agar pembelajaran sains semakin menarik dan efektif. [humas]
