Bogor, 16 Desember 2025 — Siswa MAN 5 Bogor turut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan Pendidikan dan Pelatihan (Diklat) Dasar Selam Angkatan ke-14 yang diselenggarakan oleh Siliwangi Adventure Community bekerja sama dengan Fisheries Diving Club (FDC) Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan (FPIK) Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), pada Sabtu, 14 Desember 2025.
Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Kolam Renang Tirta Bhardika Yon 14 Grup 1 Kopassus Bogor dan diikuti oleh para peserta dari berbagai kalangan yang memiliki minat dalam bidang penyelaman. Dari MAN 5 Bogor, dua siswa terpilih menjadi perwakilan, yaitu Ghailan Huwaidi (Pradana Putra) dan Muhamad Rifa’at (Bankir Putra).
Baca Lainnya : Diklat Dasar Selam ini bertujuan untuk menambah wawasan serta penguasaan teknis dasar penyelaman, khususnya bagi pemula yang ingin mengenal dunia selam secara aman dan bertanggung jawab. Materi pelatihan disusun secara komprehensif dengan mengombinasikan teori dan praktik.
Pada sesi pengembangan pengetahuan (teori kelas), peserta dibekali pemahaman tentang fisika dan medis penyelaman, pengenalan alat-alat selam seperti masker, snorkel, fins, BCD, regulator, dan tabung selam, serta prosedur keselamatan dan komunikasi bawah air menggunakan isyarat tangan.
Selanjutnya, peserta mengikuti sesi latihan perairan tertutup di kolam renang. Dalam sesi ini, peserta mempraktikkan berbagai keterampilan dasar, di antaranya teknik pernapasan menggunakan regulator, mask clearing, regulator recovery, kontrol daya apung (buoyancy), serta teknik masuk ke air seperti giant step entry dan back roll entry.
Salah satu narasumber, Rizal Machfudin, menyampaikan bahwa Diklat Dasar Selam Angkatan ke-14 merupakan kegiatan yang sangat bermanfaat, khususnya bagi pemula. “Menurut saya, kegiatan ini adalah peluang yang sangat menarik dan berharga bagi peserta untuk mengenal dunia selam dengan fondasi yang kuat, baik dari sisi keterampilan maupun keselamatan,” ujarnya.
Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan peserta, termasuk perwakilan dari MAN 5 Bogor, tidak hanya memiliki keterampilan dasar penyelaman, tetapi juga memahami pentingnya keselamatan, kedisiplinan, serta etika dalam aktivitas selam.
