Parung Panjang, 15 September 2025 – Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 5 Bogor kembali menorehkan prestasi membanggakan di tingkat internasional. Melalui tim inovasi MAHESA (Madrasah Hebat Sampah Bermanfaat), MAN 5 Bogor berhasil menembus babak Top 10 Asia Social Impact Challenge (ASIC) 2025, sebuah kompetisi bergengsi yang diikuti ribuan peserta dari berbagai negara di Asia.
Prestasi ini diraih berkat inovasi daur ulang sampah organik menjadi Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) dan media tanam humus. Inovasi tersebut tidak hanya menjadi solusi lingkungan, tetapi juga membuka peluang ekonomi baru yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.

Inovasi yang Berdampak
Melalui bimbingan para guru, tim MAHESA menghadirkan ide kreatif dan berkelanjutan untuk mengurangi permasalahan sampah di sekolah maupun masyarakat. Produk POC yang dihasilkan kaya nutrisi untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman, sedangkan humus yang diproduksi memiliki kualitas unggul sebagai media tanam yang subur dan ramah lingkungan.
Tim juga aktif melakukan sosialisasi, baik melalui program Selasa Literasi (SERASI) maupun media sosial Instagram @mahesamanlibo, guna mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya daur ulang sampah organik dan pemanfaatan produk ramah lingkungan.
Dukungan dan Kolaborasi
Kesuksesan ini tidak lepas dari kerja sama solid antara guru pembimbing dan para siswa. Para guru yang terlibat antara lain Enung Yusi Suswanti Kusumah, S.Si., MM., Iwan Tiswan Hidayat, S.Pd., Resa Kartika, S.Pd., Tiara Anggraeni, S.Pd., Nevi Damayanti, S.Pd., dan Indra Parimarma, S.Sos., MM.
Sementara itu, siswa-siswi yang berperan dalam pembuatan POC adalah Afriyansyah, Bagas Seno Aji, Hilman Ali Muchsin, Naufal Muntazhar Habibillah, Chastity Sekar Fitriani, Putry Ameilia, Ariqah Anggun Juliawati, Azkatifah Khalisah Akbar, Arkana Anantha, dan Naisila Maura Anandita. Adapun siswa yang mengembangkan media tanam humus yaitu Risky Zuliansyah, Azzahra Aulia, Catur Faiz Pamungkas, Nanda Sarani, Natena Djagat Raya, Zahra Afifah, Fauziah, Annida Majid, Reyssa, Raisya Yulia Rahmah, serta Juwariyah Insanul Kamillah.
Menuju Panggung Global
Setelah masuk dalam Top 10, tim MAHESA kini bersiap menghadapài tahap presentasi di hadapan dewan juri internasional. Presentasi tersebut akan menjadi kesempatan untuk menunjukkan keunggulan inovasi sekaligus mengharumkan nama Indonesia di kancah global.
Prestasi MAN 5 Bogor dalam ASIC 2025 menjadi bukti nyata komitmen madrasah dalam mencetak generasi yang inovatif, peduli lingkungan, dan siap menjadi agen perubahan sosial. Keberhasilan ini diharapkan dapat menginspirasi madrasah lain di Indonesia untuk terus berkreasi dan menghadirkan solusi bagi permasalahan dunia. (Humas)
