Parungpanjang, 5/8 - Setelah hampir 5 pekan libur, kegiatan ekstra kurikuler di MAN 5 Bogor hari ini mulai aktif kembali. Kegiatan pagi ini dibuka dengan upacara pembukaan ekskul day tahun pelajaran 2023-2024 secara resmi oleh pembina OSIS MAN 5 Bogor, Nugroho Dwi Cahyo atau yang akrab dipanggil Nugi.
Dalam amanatnya Nugi menyampaikan pesan kepala MAN 5 Bogor, Ema Rachmawati untuk para peserta kegiatan ekstra kurikuler, di antaranya, bahwa kegiatan ekstra kurikuler ini sangat bermanfaat untuk mengembangkan kemampuan, potensi, dan rasa tanggungjawab pada diri peserta, dan juga untuk memberikan pengalaman sosial dalam kesiapan karir melalui pengembangan kapasitas.

Menurut keterangan Nugi, ada sebelas ekstra kurikuler di MAN 5 Bogor tahun pelajaran ini, antara lain; Pramuka Wajib, PMR, Kesenian, Paskibra, Robotik, English Club, KIR, Kaligrafi, IRMA, Jurnalistik, dan Olahraga. Ekstra kurikuler pramuka wajib merupakan ekskul yang wajib diikuti oleh semua peserta didik. Sisanya adalah ekskul pilihan. Setiap siswa wajib mengikuti dua ekskul. Satu ekskul wajib dan sisanya eksul pilihan. Jumlah peserta ekskul merata.
Upacara pembukaan ekskul day pagi ini ditutup dengan kegiatan senam ge mu fa mi re (Maumere) yang dipimpin langsung oleh kakak pembina pramuka puteri, Mahmudah. [humas]
