Parungpanjang – Malam menjelang peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun ke-80 Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia diwarnai dengan cahaya obor yang membara penuh semangat. Sabtu (16/8/2025), pukul 19.30 s.d. selesai ratusan anggota Pramuka dari berbagai sekolah, termasuk 40 peserta dari MAN 5 Bogor, mengikuti Pawai Obor di Taman Makam Pahlawan Kecamatan Parungpanjang.
Kegiatan tahunan ini bukan hanya tradisi, tetapi juga sarana penghormatan dan doa bersama bagi para pahlawan bangsa. Obor yang menyala menjadi simbol semangat menjaga serta meneruskan nilai perjuangan.

“Kegiatan ini harus terus berjalan untuk menyambut hari kemerdekaan. Apalagi besok kita akan memperingati HUT RI, sehingga momentum ini sangat penting untuk menumbuhkan rasa cinta tanah air,” ujar Kak Masrul, Danramil Kecamatan Parungpanjang yang bertindak sebagai inspektur upacara.
Rangkaian acara dimulai dengan apel pembukaan di SMA Mathaul Huda Parungpanjang. Suasana khidmat terasa ketika Kak Chairuka Judhyanto, Ka. Mabiran, menyalakan obor sebagai tanda dimulainya pawai. Seluruh peserta kemudian berjalan menuju Taman Makam Pahlawan, berdoa bersama, dan mengenang jasa para pahlawan yang telah gugur.
Dari MAN 5 Bogor, sebanyak 40 peserta terdiri dari 25 anggota putri dan 15 anggota putra ikut ambil bagian. Mereka berjalan beriringan bersama ratusan Pramuka lainnya dari tingkat Penggalang maupun Penegak. Menurut panitia, tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah untuk menanamkan kesadaran generasi muda agar selalu menghargai jasa pahlawan serta mengingat bahwa kemerdekaan merupakan hasil perjuangan yang harus dijaga dan dipertahankan. “Pawai obor ini membuat kami merasakan semangat perjuangan. Api yang kami bawa seperti simbol bahwa perjuangan para pahlawan akan terus kami jaga dan lanjutkan,” ungkap salah satu peserta dari MAN 5 Bogor. Malam itu, Parungpanjang bukan hanya diterangi cahaya obor, tetapi juga oleh semangat generasi muda yang bertekad meneruskan perjuangan bangsa. (humas)
