Pramuka Garuda adalah Pramuka dengan pencapaian tingkat tertinggi di golongan keanggotaan kepramukaan,yaitu setelah tingkatan penegak Bantara dan laksana
Proses untuk menuju ke tingkat Pramuka Garuda tidaklah gampang, namun membutuhkan beberapa waktu untuk mempersiapkan nya, diantaranya mempersiapkan berkas-berkas atau portofolio yg harus di susun dan mengisi suatu SKK untuk pencapaian tkk tingkat Garuda . Proses mempersiapkan ini kurang lebih selama 1 bulan, dan pelaksanaan pelantikan nya itu tanggal 5-6 Agustus,di Buper cimandala pelaksanaan pelantikan tidak lah segampang apa yang kita kira, namun membutuhkan proses mental dan fisik yang kuat.
Baca Lainnya : Setelah itu pelaksanaan inagurasi atau pernyataan sah nya kita dilantik menjadi Garuda pada tanggal 22 Agustus hari Selasa kemarin. Di lapangan tergar beriman / kantor Pemda Bogor. Biasanya pertahun pelaksanaan inagurasi itu dilangsungkan dengan acara pelantikan tapi kali ini tidak, karena pada tanggal 22 itu sekaligus memperingati HUT Pramuka ke 62. Acara penyematan kemudian dilaksanakan secara simbolis langsung oleh kepala sekolah MAN 5 Bogor sesaat setelah upacara bendera.
Melalui proses pencapaian yang tidak mudah ini, menjadikan seseorang yang sudah menyandang tingkat garuda sangatlah dihormati dan menjadikannya sebagai prestasi yang luar biasa, oleh karena itu banyak perguruan tinggi menerima beasiswa jalur Pramuka Garuda ini, diantaranya:
