Parungpanjang, 14 September 2024 – Dalam rangka memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun Republik Indonesia (HUT RI) yang ke-79, MAN 5 Bogor turut meramaikan suasana kemerdekaan dengan berpartisipasi dalam lomba gerak jalan tingkat Kecamatan Parungpanjang. Acara ini digelar sebagai bagian dari serangkaian kegiatan perayaan yang bertujuan untuk memperkuat semangat nasionalisme dan kebersamaan di lingkungan masyarakat.
Kegiatan gerak jalan yang diadakan pada hari Jumat 16 Agustus 2024 sebulan lalu ini diikuti oleh peserta didik, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan dari MAN 5 Bogor. Dengan semangat juang dan kekompakan yang tinggi, mereka berpartisipasi dalam lomba yang menempuh jarak 10 KM dan melintasi rute Lapangan Kecamatan Parungpanjang - Sentraland - Kabasiran - Lapangan Kecamatan Parungpanjang.
Para peserta dari MAN 5 Bogor mengenakan pakaian seragam kaos olahraga sekolah dan kaos paskibra, sedangkan GTK MAN 5 Bogor memakai kaos HAB Kemenag beratribut stiker bendera merah putih. Meskipun tidak bertema merah putih hal ini tidak memudarkan rasa cinta tanah air dan kebanggaan terhadap bangsa. Selain berkompetisi, mereka juga menikmati suasana perayaan yang meriah bersama dengan peserta dari sekolah-sekolah lain dan masyarakat sekitar.

Kami sangat bangga dengan antusiasme yang ditunjukkan oleh peserta didik, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan.”
Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu cara untuk mempererat tali persaudaraan antar sekolah serta menanamkan nilai-nilai patriotisme kepada seluruh peserta. Semoga semangat kemerdekaan yang ditunjukkan dalam lomba ini dapat terus memotivasi kita semua untuk memberikan kontribusi terbaik bagi bangsa dan negara.
