Parungpanjang, 9 Mei 2023 -- Perubahan iklim kini telah mengancam kehidupan manusia di bumi, tak terkecuali di wilayah Indonesia dan khususnya Jawa Barat maupun Bogor. Untuk mencegah efek negative dari perubahan iklim berupa bencana alam, Ikatan Pelajar Putera Putri Nahdlatul Ulama (IPPNU) Kabupaten Bogor bekerjasama dengan beberapa elemen yaitu Madrasah, Sekolah, dan Pondok Pesantren di jawa Barat akan melaksanakan penanaman pohon secara serentak 500 titik pada 9 Mei 2023.
Dan MAN 5 Bogor di bawah komando kepala madrasah, Ema Rachmawati ikut berpartisipasi menanam pohon yang dipusatkan di Kampus 2 Singabangsa Tenjo. Turut hadir dan ikut menanam pohon di antaranya kepala tata usaha Waryati, waka humas Indra Parimarma, Kepala MTs Al-Ikhwan M. Sayuti, BPD Cilaku Tata Supriatna, Panwas Tenjo Ruhdana, Dewan Guru serta para peserta didik MAN 5 Bogor Kampus Tenjo.

“Alhamdulillah, sejak sabtu kemaren kita sudah mulai mendistibusikan bibit tanaman mahoni, jati, sengon ke beberapa Lembaga mulai dari madrasah, sekolah, dan pesantren di Kabupaten Bogor,” kata Perwakilan IPPNU Kabupaten Bogor Yeni Hartinah di sela-sela penyerahan bibit pohon di Gedung PCNU Kabupaten Bogor.
Lebih jauh dia mengatakan, kegiatan ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari program IPPNU Jawa Barat yang melaksanakan aksi tanam pohon serentak di 500 titik di madrasah, sekolah dan Ponpes se-Jawa Barat.
“Tagline yang kita usung adalah sekarang saatnya berkontribusi untuk bumi, semoga program ini bisa ikut mencegah dan mengurangi pemanasan global di wilayah kita, dan kita berharap ini menjadi aksi nyata kita sebagai generasi muda,” imbuhnya.
Kepala madrasah, Ema Rachmawati berharap melalui kegiatan penanaman pohon di 500 titik di Jawa Barat akan menumbuhkan rasa cinta dan peduli terhadap lingkungan di kalangan pendidik dan peserta didik.
